Ukrainian children get acquainted with Azerbaijan's rich history and culture

A group of Ukrainian children who were brought to Azerbaijan for much-needed social and psychological rehabilitation have been immersing themselves in the rich history and culture of Baku, Azerbaijan's capital city.

Their journey began with visits to the city's most iconic landmarks, including the enchanting Icherisheher (Old City), the majestic Shirvanshahlar Palace Complex, and the mysterious Maiden Tower. The children also had the opportunity to stroll along Baku's picturesque seaside boulevard, taking in the fresh Caspian Sea air and the city's modern skyline.

In the coming days, the children's itinerary includes visits to the Ateshgah Temple, a unique Zoroastrian fire temple, and mesmerizing Yanardag.

Alongside the cultural experiences, the rehabilitation program focuses on the children's emotional well-being. Group therapy sessions, meditation, yoga classes, and psycho-social training will be conducted in Baku and the scenic districts of Gabala and Shaki.

To further enrich their stay, the children will have the chance to savor Azerbaijan's delectable local cuisine, known for its unique blend of flavors.
